The compatibility gotcha worth knowing: Perma-Shield roller assemblies from the 1980s have a 1-1/8 inch diameter wheel on an adjustable steel bracket, while 400 Series Frenchwood rollers use a 1-3/16 inch wheel on a snap-in carrier, and the two are not interchangeable even though they look close at a glance. To identify what you have, open the operable panel and look at the edge label on the top of the frame or the glass etching in one corner. Andersen stamps the series and sometimes the manufacture year there. • The door drags, grinds, or takes both hands to move. This is almost always the bottom rollers.
